KNOX BROTHERS BIO

The Knox Brothers are the six sons of Vernon and Elsie Knox of Harrisburg OR.  The brothers grew up on the family farm near Harrisburg.  Some of the main pillars in the boy’s upbringing were a strong evangelical Christian heritage, with values to match, a home where the Word of God was read and believed, an appreciation for Gospel & Country Music, along with a strong work ethic with regular chores for each family member.   In addition to the work, there were the fun things like “barnyard baseball,”  as well as fishing and hunting on the banks of old “Muddy Creek.”  Vernon Knox modeled for his family a sense of adventure with travel and various hobbies which probably prepared the boys for touring & performing.

The Knox Brothers officially began their journey in Gospel Music in 1968, when the four oldest brothers, Marion, Wayne, Paul & Victor started with four-part vocals plus two guitars.  Four years later, Ed & Arnold joined to add drums & keyboards to the mix to round out the band.  The Brothers have neither stopped nor slowed down since.  From the early days to the present, the Brothers have continued to perform at churches and community events at the rate of 50 concerts per year.  The Knox Brothers have hosted 12 ocean concert cruises for their loyal fans.  They have also appeared with Pat Boone,  Gaither Homecoming,  The Cathedral Quartet, The Florida Boys, The Blackwood Brothers, The Speers, The Kingsmen, Dixie Melody Boys, Gold City, The Stamps Quartet, Palmetto State Quartet, Melody Boys Quartet & many others.  They were also regulars on the evening concerts at the Great Western Quartet Convention in CA for 11 consecutive years!  In addition, the Brothers were guests on stage at Gospel Music Television’s “World Premier” via satellite from Pigeon Forge TN.   The Knox Brothers have toured the four corners of the United States along with many stops in between.  They have also produced 19 albums throughout their career.

The Knox Brothers motto is:  “It’s more than just music.  It’s about being faithful to one’s calling.”  Their hope is that the audience will pick up on this truth & become aware of God’s call for each and every life which is:  Salvation through Jesus Christ!

Blessings,... (from The Knox Bros)
